What Are Screen Printed Heat Transfers?
Screen printed heat transfers take your designs or images and screen print them onto a special type of transfer paper, which will then be carefully placed onto the garment or accessory of your choice.
I then use a heat press to infuse the design with the garment or accessory. The main function of a heat press is to apply heat and pressure to anything placed in between its upper and lower platens, AKA heating elements.
When heat and pressure is applied to a screen printed transfer, it activates the ink in a way that causes it to bond securely with the fabric. This process ensures that your design stays vivid and durable, wash after wash, and the end result is a creatively custom, long-lasting print, one that is brimming with vibrant colors and fine details.
In essence, heat pressing screen printed transfers is taking all of the necessary steps in creating a decorated garment or accessory and combining them into a more streamlined process, thus eliminating expensive set up costs, and freeing you from having to commit to a higher than desired minimum order quantity.
